Foothills Antique Power Association of North Carolina, Established October &th, 2003
Incorporated October 28, 2003
1st Annual Power Show May 19 & 20, 2004
(now held annually the 3rd weekend in May.)
Pulling track built at Fairgrounds April 2005
December 2005 applied for 501(C)(3) tax-exempt status
Spring 2006—club membership rose to over 200
1st Annual Power Ride held September 23, 2006
Jeff Greene donated a 17 1/2 half breed engine to the club in August 2008
(on display in Heritage Village at American Legion Fairgrounds)
September 2009- held 1st Annual Swap Meet
2012- club members completed restoration of John Deere “B” that was donated by Todd and Jeff Greene in October 2008
2008- Creation of Heritage Village at Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds
Club Pole Shed Built by Members
Donation of Allis Chalmers Tractor
2012- Moved Saw Mill and Blacksmith Shop from Ira Cline’s Farm to Heritage Village
2013- Completed construction on Equipment Building at Fairgrounds
2014- Construction of pole shed on fairground property (Begging of General Store Structure)
2014- Windmill and various other items donated by Wayne Huffman in memory of his parents, Emory and Jeanette Huffman
2014- Ira and Ann Cline donated a variety of items: plows, teasers, etc
2015- Completed Construction of General Store
2016- Completed Chinking and Closing in the Log Building
2016- Construction of Lean-To of the General Store Side
2016- Grist Mill and other items donated by Wayne Huffman
2017- Poured concrete under General Store lean-to, added running band- saw and steam engine to the display in the General Store and added water pump to the windmill
2017- Remodeled the Saw Mill structure
